During Covid

The Main Changes for Lessons at the Studio

PLEASE NOTE: from March 2022, the restrictions for England were removed. However, we will keep some safety measures in place. Any future changes to government rules and guidance will be followed at the Yoga Shala and I will list any changes we make on this page.

The Main Changes for Lessons at the Studio

  • All lessons still require pre-booking and pre-payment. There is no drop-in option.
  • Studio equipment will now be available to use, however you may bring your own yoga mat and any personal required props if you prefer. Please note that you cannot leave your own props at the studio.
  • Face masks are optional for everyone, but not expected.
  • PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE YOGA SHALA IF YOU HAVE BEEN ASKED TO SELF-ISOLATE OR IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID SYMPTOMS OR FEEL UNWELL.

What You Need To Do On Arrival

  • Do not arrive too early for your class. The doors will be open from 15 minutes before each lesson.
  • The changing area and lockers are available. Please use your discretion when using these shared facilities.
  • Outdoor footwear should be removed at the studio door and placed on the shoe rack. We operate a no-shoe policy within the studio.
  • Hand sanitisers are provided at the studio door and changing area for you to use on entry and exit to the studio.

What Will Happen During The Lesson

  • Do not touch the thermostat or radiator controls as they are set for best studio conditions for the class.
  • Physical adjustments of students in the asanas can now be made by the teacher if they feel it necessary in order for you to understand the nature of the pose.

What I Am Doing At The Yoga Shala

  • The studio floor will be appropriately cleaned on a regular basis.
  • The commonly used surfaces, door handles, banister rails etc will be regularly cleaned with appropriate sanitising wipes.
