Yoga Shala – Easter Newsletter 2022

Hello everyone
I hope you are enjoying the spring weather and our return to longer days and more sunlight.

It has been great to see many of you returning to the Yoga Shala in High Wycombe now that we are back to studio classes on a regular basis, and also really good to have many new people trying out our classes.

We are currently on an Easter break from classes at the Yoga Shala but Sara & Michelle have kept their classes going. Remember that to book for their lessons you have to contact them individually – their details are on the website.

Classes with me will resume from Monday 25th April and the first lessons are already available to book via the website.
Here are some dates for your diaries for my classes:
– lessons resume from 25th April until 27th May
there will be no 11am lesson on Friday 13th May as I am teaching in Manchester for their Golden Anniversary
– lessons will resume from Monday 6th June until Friday 22nd July
(For Sara’s & Michelle’s classes contact them directly for their lesson dates)

Please note:
– Lessons with me are still to be booked via the website and paid for by bank transfer.
I require 24 notice hours of a cancellation for your fee to be carried over to another lesson or workshop.

Workshop information:
The weekend workshops continue. To see more information, including dates, and to book for any of them select the ‘Workshop’ tab on the menu bar and then select from the drop-down menu.
Note: these weekend workshops are now all back in the studio instead of online.
Planned workshop dates are:
Level 1: 8th May & 19th June
Level 2: 30th April (future dates yet to be decided)
Level 3: 2nd & 3rd July

Remedial Classes:
These are back up and running and we have a good group of teacher helpers to assist the students attending this class. If you think this is something you might be in need of, first check the Class Descriptions on my website (under Weekday Classes) to see if this is an appropriate lesson for you, then contact me to see about signing up. You cannot just turn up to the remedial class, it has to be agreed with me first before you attend.

In case you don’t know, our main Iyengar Yoga association, Iyengar Yoga (UK), [normally known as IY(UK)], organises conventions each year and in May 2022 there will be an in-person convention in Harrogate taught by one of our very experienced senior teachers, Margaret Austin. If you are interested to find out more and to book please visit the IY(UK) website. https://iyengaryoga.org.uk/conventions-events/conventions/

I hope to see you again soon after the Easter break.

with my best wishes
Sheila
